The Nodes->Hollow command is used to convert 2D plane meshes into shell element meshes. A sphere, cylinder, cone, torisphere or hemisphere can be created.

Templates

To automate the FE Analysis of certain common pressure vessel components, LISA supplies templates for -

i. Nozzle & Cylindrical Shells with Openings
ii. Miter bends and Curved Pipes
iii. Expansion Bellows
iv. Nozzles for Spherical and Conical Heads

The user has to simply enter the relevant values in the text boxes, and the mesh with the specified pressure load is created automatically.
