Templates

2D templates patterns can be used for refining quadrilateral elements and 3D templates for refining hexahedron elements.

 

Local mesh refinement

Tools are provided to create graded meshes, so that areas of interest can have smaller and more number of elements.

Sub-Divide

Line, quadrilateral & hexahedron elements can be sub-divided along the element edges to create smaller elements.

Change to Higher Order Elements

4 node quadrilaterals can be changed to 8 & 9 node quadrilaterals
8 node hexahedrons can be changed to 20 node hexahedrons
4 node tetrahedrons can be converted to 10 node hexahedrons
